@epsi@akko.wtf oh that makes sense. I only saw the prequel trilogy in cinema, which were like ok. I don't remember classmates talking about it all the time lol (what "fandom" felt like to me then). lotr seemed way bigger in comparison. but I don't know if the original sw movies were ever released nationwide in china (nobody I know from my parents' generation has any level of familiarity with the franchise, so my guess is no)

@Stellar The extra layer of irony for us physicists is that we do work on quantum stuffs. Not “quantum security” type of quantum. But like, eh, quantum quantum. We love what we do, and are getting sick of the word at the same time.

@Stellar I tried... multiple times... failed spectacularly every single time.Well at least once I managed to keep it alive for long enough to grow just enough leaves to make pesto for a pasta meal for four. That was my biggest success in growing anything.

@Stellar pot indeed. I've always lived in (relatively small) apartments and can't really have very large containers. I thought the pot was kinda big for the small basil plants I had, but maybe still not big enough.
