       All my red and blackcurrant bushes have shed their fruit from heat stress 😭Now worried about the plums..It's too damn hot / dry, with *maybe* some thunderstorms mid-week. But every day w that forecast has gone poof! Nope.The rainwater storage we have is nearly empty. CMON RAIN!! 🤞 🌧️

       We also sneaked past the "road blocked" signs and past the feral cat colony.This beautiful girl is probably a half-sibling of Cappuccino.- Still don't see any kittens this year (yay)- The cats look very sickly and thin (nooo!)Something happened to her tail and she has a gross tick on her face. I'm petting a different cat, so that she accepts that I'm not a threat.This is the closest I've ever been to her! (With a dog too!)#FeralCat

       Delighted to find raspberries on a hike the other day. My own got torched by the heatwave.        I cut the top off a drinks bottle, and tied it to my bag with a little plastic grocery bag.This frees both my hands to hold branches and pick fruit more easily and quickly.Pour handfuls into the bottle, the bag keeps it upright and can be pulled over to stop any falling out.Less annoying to walk home / control dog with as well. (I did *not* want a backpack/bucket in the heat)
