       @stux nah, mostly we used to have good PR on the world stage - but ask minorities here in the US and they’ll tell you it’s always leaned towards fascism. Our current administration just not longer feels the need to hide it anymore and have stomped down on the gas pedal as we barrel of the cliff.

       @itsfoss someday if they manage to get the fingerprint reader to work, I meant finally make the switch to Linux on my MacBook Air M1.Currently my PC laptop is running Linux (MX Linux). It’d be nice to have both my laptops much more under my control.

       @stux Bluesky is speed running Twitter’s enshitification. I used Bluesky for about a week when I could first get an account and it seemed pretty clear what path they were going to do down. Haven’t signed back in ever since.

       @stux hmm, I used Ubuntu in the past, but now have avoided them due to their strong pro-AI stance. (Plus I’ve always despised snap.)I really don’t want to have to figure out how to shoehorn BSD to work for me.
