       @kuketzblog Anfangs hat es mich ziemlich fertig gemacht, dass mein Arbeitgeber und auch meine Universität so sehr an Microsoft hängen. Mittlerweile habe ich resigniert, sonst hätte ich wahrscheinlich meinen  Verstand verloren. Beim Ansprechen von FLOSS Alternativen werde ich meist sehr abwertend belächelt. Der Widerstand gegen das Ausprobieren von alternativen, sogar vielleicht konvivialen, Werkzeugen ist bei vielen Mitarbeitenden und -studierenden gigantisch und meine Gesundheit ist mir lieber.

       A while ago, I'd read “Laserblasted” by the awesome Michael Warren Lucas (@mwl).Even though I'm not a 80s child I really enjoyed the story. I even took the extra mile and made myself a digital mixtape out of the provided soundtrack at the end of the book. It's spinning for me the last days regulary. I have the urge to watch the movie, but I will take Michaels warning seriously so that my soul may never be tainted by it!I'm glad and thankful for Michaels books. Go buy some of them, please! ^^

       @civodul Looks like a motherboard card for an industry computer. I don't know the exact name of this type of build form, sorry. But at work we used to have servers and workstations with such cards. The backplane is on one side of the case while this card is plugged into it at 90 degrees.

       @sigrid @neauoire If I may ask: What do you think about the “Principia Softwarica” project by Yoann Padioleau? I think it has an interesting appeal, but my enthusiasm is quite reserved by the recent use of a bloody LLM by the author. It seems to be used “only” for translation but I still have a very bad feeling about it.
