No matter the naming issue in Linux, it sounds like they simply don't want to open-source their device specs.

       @davidrevoy Yep, definitely not a valid reason at all.But that's how many companies tick. Just look at Volkswagen and their recent closure of some of their cars' APIs, angering customers using home assistant with their EVs.It is infuriating, but I assume while both the Linux and the HA crowd are very outspoken online, they probably represent a tiny fraction of their user base and are thus deemed irrelevant.
