       today years old and only just discovering that there's a direct, 24-hour, non-Tube connection from Wimbledon to SPI, wowsomehow i just ... edited Thameslink out of my perception for a few years(i think i had it confused with Tramlink and when i discovered Tramlink doesn't go to SPI - it goes the other direction - just deleted the memory rather than investigating platform 9)anyway that's neat, no need for me to use the Tube on days when travelling internationally, and can get there much earlier

       saw something delightful earliersomeone had read some books i put in the free stuff area downstairs, and then carefully brought them back to re-lend 💜🥲they took three books of a trilogy one by one then returned the whole set when finished (and a couple of other things)it's not a big deal, it is the tiniest of tiny things; i just come from a background where if it isn't bolted down it will be stolen and sold; if it is the bolts will be stolen too, that takes a bit of getting overi have been trying to consistently add items to the shelf downstairs and some of them come and go (there's no posted obligation to return anything; there are no rules at all)trying to force myself to put books i liked downstairs instead of hanging onto them and not re-reading them"i can always get another copy of Ancillary" etc(non-book items go down there too but usually get claimed within hours so there's less persistence)
