Empezamos aceptando que non se puidera facer login nunha web de escritorio sen sacar un móbil do bolsillo, e agora xa vamos polo nivel de distopía de "Docenas de gobernos aprobaron leis para obrigarte a proporcionar o teu DNI para acceder a unha web" e "Google require que escanees un QR con un móbil certificado por Google Play Services sin adblock nin software libre para poder pasar un ReCaptcha"Eu síntoo moito pero ás veces máis ciberseguridade é socialmente peor.

@pcgaldo Si si coñezo moi ben o da digital identity wallet, pero... iso é como unha especie de aplicación de autofirma europea que distintos "issuers" poden emitir tarxetas e se recoñecen mutuamente (por exemplo asinar un documento holandés cun dnie español). O que non vexo eu é o de usar o DNIe como "pajaporte" en pornhub, ou recaptcha, ou a puta que o pariu. Os documentos importantes non se deberían usar en temas triviais, precisamente porque son importantes non os deberíamos expoñer á lixeira

@pcgaldo Respecto de Unified Attestation, ahí está a eterna guerra entre e/OS e GrapheneOS, ambos ofertando sistemas Android alternativos pero levándose a matar.Unified Attestation é a alternativa de e/OS á iniciativa de google para prohibir instalar aplicacions desde ficheiros .apk sin pagar unha licencia de dev de Google que che firma o software. A resposta de Graphene é que deberiamos poder instalar calquera software sen asinar, non facer un European Alternative Torment Nexus.

@pcgaldo Eu aquí estou con Graphene: eu quero instalar software sen asinar. Quero que o meu móbil sexa tan inseguro como me sae dos collóns porque é meu. E non quero que ben o hardware ben os TOS da app do BBVA me impidan instalar un software que non está asinado por unha endidade coa que o hardware e o BBVA colaboran, tanto me ten se a attestation ven dunha entidade pública europea santísima ou de Google.

@EUCommission If I go to the doctor with a broken arm and they ask if I want my arm to be healthy and safe, I say yes. But if they ask if I want a heart transplant to heal my arm, I'd say no because a heart transplant is a very high risk last resort measure and it doesn't even have any provable relation with healing broken arms.The existence of these valid concerns does not legitimize surveillance laws.

@Gargron Remember when they remade old reddit without custom subreddit CSS? They promised they would build appearance settings to compensate, but no matter how many you put, a finite collection of settings can never replace everything you can do with arbitrary code. And even if they let you send feedback to request missing features, it would still be a pain in the ass to get support to add what you ask for instead of making it yourself in minutes.The entire tech stack has gone this way.

@ariadne how do I put this... The IRL name is exactly reserved for work and work related issues. The whole point of the nickname is that you do not own your own IRL name for *personal* conversations on the Internet. Because every time you discussed overwatch porn or whatever it would be seen by your employer and your son's university admissions board. So no, you don't get to be anonymous when in the body of governance of a large nonprofit.
