       @mwl I should clarify that the mug didn't fail. I broke it by dropping a glass rice cooker lid on it (which exploded glass everywhere), then cut myself on the mug handle during the cleanup 😞 🩹

       @mwl I was searching for FreeBSD stuff. Found your artwork and bought stickers and a mug. This was my second FreeBSD mug of yours; it was a warranty replacement as the handle fell off the first one. Of its own accord, that time.

       @mwl I gather you have pet rats - any advice you'd be willing to share?Our nine year old daughter wants to add rats to her menagerie that already includes a greyhound, three silkie hens, and (temporarily) her Grandma's little dog while Grandma is recovering from surgery.

       @mwl She spends much of her time with the existing animals - so I doubt that'll be an issue. More concerned about "things I wish I knew about rats but learned the hard way".We had pet rats as Uni students but I've forgotten almost everything about them, except for how they used to sit on our shoulders while we were working ❤️

       @eff @jilliancyork @reasonmagazine Reposting (an edited version of) what I posted earlier on this matter to Lobste.rs ...This appears to be another case of having to defend the rights of a least attractive practitioner of those rights :/A/I do in fact vet their applicants, and some of those applicants are in fact violent terrorists (e.g. the group destroying power infrastructure in Europe). They're certainly not a common carrier (to use the US term; unsure if there's a similar concept in Europe).To be clear, I believe they are due the opprobrium they receive; but not the terrorist designation.
