       I'm thinking I should make a video"We can't run the full test suite until after the release" (because historically out users are the test suite)This is perhaps why Inkscape 2.0 will be 1.5 until we know for sure we haven't broke everything important.Such was the issue with 1.0 at the time.        I kind of love how many applicants to these programming positions have done teaching. It's refreshing to see people who didn't 10xbeBEST or chase money but actually contributed back to the students coming up behind them.These's a gross quote that "Those who can't, teach".        Advice please.There's a criticism that a prohibition on AI use in Inkscape would inhibit a new contributor's understanding of such a large codebase.There is no moral model I know of.But I am sympathetic to anyone to wants to understand a codebase as large and byzantine as ours and uses tools they feel help them overcome what would otherwise be an insurmountable amount of complexity.Is there a policy which would accommodate assistive, investigative modes without permitting authoring?

       This much improved simplify nodes feature in #inkscape is waiting for UX design, but no one has been available to help with that work in two months. I don't want to loose the work.Interested?I think it would be fairly easy to do. Just decide if it should be it's own button, a popover, or something else.        I'm going to sleep. If anyone is wondering why the #inkscape website is down, it's because it's being crushed by AI bots again, so I've taken it offline.I tried to put in more ip-blocks, and then tried to install Anubis. But I'm not a sysadmin and so this is just taking time to do. Can't do much of it tonight (this morning) so I'm afraid it's staying offline.Edit: Thanks for the help from @thomzane getting the server back online. It appears to have been Facebook attacking.
