we are getting into the warmer months yet again. it's never a bad idea to have a small reminder to take care of yourself.As it gets hotter make sure you drink plenty of water and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to keep your bodies electrolytes in balance.sometimes however things may happen that cause us to become dehydrated even when we are trying our best to maintain hydration.If you ever notice these symptoms it is time to take immediate action to take care of yourself or someone else:- rapid heart rate- dry mouth - no tears when crying- sudden tiredness or confusion - dizziness - dark and or less urination than usual- sunken eyes or cheeksif you or someone you care for us expericing these symptoms it is important to take steps to begin rehydrating immediately. drinking water is a good start, drink slowly so your body can absorb it better. you may also need electrolyte replenishnent, drink a sports drink or add a small amount of salt to your water to help, if your stomach can handle it some fresh fruit like a banana or watermelon is a great way to add additional electrolytes during your time of need. SEVERE DEHYDRATION IS A REAL MEDICAL EMERGENCY if you or someone you are caring for has a sudden change in their mental state (confusion, sudden sleepiness) it may be time to get emergency treatment. severe dehydration can cause you or the person you are caring for to lose consciousness, if this happens they should receive emergency fluid replacement immediately or damage to organs could occur. an IV with fluids and electrolytes are given as treatment for severe dehydration, one thing to remember if they give you supplemental IV potassium it can cause burning sensations when you pee - this is normal! if you are unsure if you or someone you care for is dehydrated you can check for dehydration by pinching the skin on the arm for just a moment, if the skin does not flatten back down immediately then you or the person you are checking may be dehydrated. this is not necessarily the worst thing ever, however, you need to drink water or a sports drink immediately, if you check someone else and they are alert enough to drink encourage them to slowly drink water or a sports drink. please take care of yourself and if you see someone that is clearly struggling in the heat take a moment to help them out :neocat_floof_heart:

fucking great... i use the duckduckgo email protection to generate email aliases for various services. well now i am unable to receive any emails on any of my @duck.com email aliases... if i try to email one of them myself it results in a 550 error. i really need this to work so i can maintain access to some of my important accounts, this is really annoying.
