       @internetarchive @internetarchivecanada KFJC is one of my favorite all-time Bay Area college stations, which I listened to and enjoyed for around 4 decades. They were such a welcome contrast to the horrible commercial stations!

       #PhotoOfTheDay is a sort of before-and-after photo of my railroad spike knife alongside a typical old and rusted spike as the "before" image. Many used spikes are in worse condition and may be bent, gouged, more heavily corroded, etc. Starting with one of the better ones simplifies the process a little.#phto #photography #blacksmithing #maker

       @vitalis @feliks Yeah sabers often had a lot more curve, especially older ones and then you can see the blades often straighten over time as the needs and fighting styles changes, went through different phases of popularity and thought, cut vs. thrust, etc.My 1821 light cavalry saber looks very different from the British 1796 pattern. The guard is much narrower and the blade much more curved on the latter, only a short time earlier.

       @eff Waiting for all the cases where these "cloud-connected AI scans" refuse to print a sci-fi blaster or other cosplay gun, since (for example) pretty much every gun in the Star Wars universe is based off of a real gun from history.But then CA weapon laws have a very long history of making something that looked scary to someone illegal for absolutely no practical reason, so this would be consistent at least. :eyeroll:

       @9to5linux Interesting limitation. My 10" touchscreen works with my 5 but also my two Pi 4s, so at least there are other options for those of us with unsupported RPI.

My favorite is when I come back to the Masto tab after some time away and for a half a second I can see several new posts that interest me before the window updates and then they are lost forever deep down the stream where Masto search will never, ever find them again. 😂
