       @ariadne I have been contributing to the Drupal open source project for 22 years and one of the main reasons I stopped is because of where the community stands regarding LLMs (in short, they love it). It's very difficult because I still love writing code but the community aspects now makes contributing untenable to me.

       @ariadne I have been teetering on the edge for years -- another major breaking point was the open source communities as a whole abandoning the vulnerable at conferences by refusing to keep masking. Overall, it's been difficult but since I completely stopped two months ago I am mostly fine. Work is fascinating, the Path Of Exile videogames keep the idle hours occupied. It's not much but it is what it is.

       @ariadne I've done this many times, sometimes the bus can be a little faster but the train is very comfortable. With the August weather the line up outside in Vancouver for border control is not a problem either. If you want to save time going north first class is worth it because you will skip most of this queue. Coming south it's a waste of money in my opinion.Enjoy beautiful British Columbia!

       @ariadne I did that too when due to covid measures there was nothing else and I worked for a company in Bellevue and I needed to visit. It's a bit easier now as the WTA bus 75 in Bellingham always drops you at Peace Arch, back then it was flex service only. The problem is the other side: Peace Arch park has no bus connection, it's either a long walk or a cab/uber. Blaine is even worse. Sumas is a no-walk option but it needs a *lot* of buses on both sides. Good luck.
