       @quephird I love that the soundtrack was his *editing* soundtrack, while Alexander North composed an entire soundtrack inspired by it that Kubrick eventually jettisoned in favor of the originals. You can listen to North's compositions, and see why Kubrick was right to go with the two Strausses and Ligeti and so on. Kinda sucked to be North, though.

       @quephird boy, Ligeti sure was being silly. Kubrick was giving him AMAZING publicity, Kubrick being Kubrick. But he did figure that out eventually.

I can get rid of all my carefully-written shell functions that do interactive rebases and other  horrific things, such as the one called "smash" that squashes everything in a branch before I push.By "all my damn life" I mean “in the however many years I have been using git”, which is surely the worst version control software except that the moment I first understood it I realized I would never go back to anything I had used before it.

       Current status: backing out reqwest 0.13 or considering swapping to ureq because all I need is a blocking client and who needs C & cmake deps here?
