       @stux they are like side-loaders in that regard ;-)To be fair, side-loaders probably have a confidence about their own ability to identify risks .. it's more that they don't worry about what's happening with any hypothetical granny being phished.

       @hn100 if agent management becomes something that everyone is trying to do, it is pretty natural for it to become part of a tool chain.For better or worse, it seems to be a bit of a pattern these days that early adopters in AI make some advancement and then it gets incorporated in the base.I guess these changes are not patentable?But perhaps the filings are in motion and there is legal mess ahead.

       @itsfoss I like niri. I guess I've been working towards minimum window management, and this seems kind of a pinnacle. Most often I can just open Windows, use them, and then close them. For what it's worth I loaded Fedora 44, and then just the niri in the standard repository. It uses waybar rather than more elaborate libraries, but that's fine for me. I just gray out waybar and I have a minimalist setup.Screenshot of my previous Fedora 43:

       @dalias @TheOneDoc @ell1e well, I think Linus Torvalds is actually a pretty normal person, with good moral instincts, and good commitments to both quality and his community.When people get irate to that, and threaten to storm off and do it themselves .. I consider it unlikely to say the least.They are not demonstrating the skills that can make it happen.

       @fsfe I think the vast majority of LLM generated software is for own consumption, which makes it kind of a stepchild of open source.In more ways than one.Published software is going to face a number of legal tests though, I'm sure.
