       @Gargron It seems to me like there are about as many well-lit, well-graded movies as there have always been, but that there are more movies overall than there ever have been in the past. A lot of movies—even from big studios—are basically shovelware, yes. A lot of really good production and post techs have gone to prestige TV rather than movies, yes. Still, there have been tons of expertly-produced movies in the last decade.

       @sirwumpus @kusuriya @nuintari @mwl RFC 3339 covers the specific date and time format everybody means when they say “ISO 8601”: 2026-04-24 with optional time.ISO 8601 has that, but also formats used exclusively by the criminally insane, such as “R/2026-W17-5”.

       @mwl @phessler @sng Babylon 5 Season 1 has a lot going for it, but they had to drop several big storylines for real life reasons (Michael O’Hare, the lead, had major health issues and bowed out). Season 2 is perceived as better at least in part because it’s the start of the continuity with the rest of the show.
