       Finally getting around to updating my server to #Yunohost. I was using #ArchLinux ARM, but I installed the wrong version, and never r really got around to reinstalling it, because I remembered what a hassle it was setting everything up.Here's hoping I'll be able to set up something running on #Debian, it's been a long time since I touched anything not Arch-based.@yunohost

       @yunohost First up is changing the SD partition table to #GPT. It's more modern for a reason, I say. I dislike using anything called "msdos" in 2026.So here I am breaking open the img file, copying the contents over and updating cmdline.txt and fstab. 🙈 Here's hoping it'll boot.

       @pixelfed Actually—what is the status of the Pixelfed app? It hasn't been updated since September and there's one particularly limiting bug where the "post" button falls off the screen when replying. That can't be very appealing to new Pixelfed users...        @bluetea @plutarch @johntimaeus I have to say I've never consider the guitar to be a particularly ergonomically friendly instrument, either! I'd say cello is actually better there. Perhaps a woodwind of some kind... Clarinetists never look very strained, I think. Nor do recorder players, but you're very limited in your repertoire. French horn is a classic instrument you can still pick up later in life, too, but I'm not sure about the ergonomics. Piano is quite ergonomic as well, of course.

       @bluetea @plutarch @johntimaeus Of course I'm no expert on this. But your (left) wrist and hand is definitely more strained on a guitar than on a cello. It's just that bowing is very difficult to get right. But not particularly straining.

       @plutarch Usually, for older beginners, the double bass is considered an "easier" starting point. Takes more space, though. But you'll be very popular with amateur orchestras in your region in no time 😅 The violin is definitely not a very suitable instrument to start at an "older" age. I started when I was five, and I really needed about ten years to get to a level where I could really play in good ensembles 🙈

       @plutarch Hard to say... I'll have to ask my partner, but I think in general the more ergonomic instrument is the cello. The bass does need to be bowed more from the shoulder, as I recall.

       @johntimaeus @bluetea @plutarch Exactly. And don't get me started on the ergonomics of the violin / viola. I was constantly a little bit in pain when I studied it at conservatoire, briefly.
