@atax1a am i misremembering or didn't they already release the code for comic chat like ... 6+ years ago? in any event i recall its use of windows APIs to be horse trash forever ago when i tried to get it working properly in wine, it was doing some really peculiar stuff with gdi pens and the wine renderer produced some very surreal looking comics

@electricarchaeo a lot of folks are replacing grass lawns for a variety of reasons. I dunno about Ottawa, but water shortages are endemic to many once-green cities where non-native turf is no longer financially viable, and in some places is outright illegal. outside of water availability concerns, there are a lot of other good reasons to ditch grass especially in favour of locally-appropriate native plants which are often low maintenance and beneficial for the local ecology
