       We know that people who live with domesticated pets are healthier. Probably because they walk dogs and stroke both dogs and cats. It follows that we should have a pet NHS that looks after the medical needs of domesticated pets, thereby looking after human health.

       Who was the first Prime Minister is a possible question on the British citizenship test. I have a degree in politics and work in Westminster, I couldn't tell you who our first PM was, not least because history literally doesn't agree who it was. It's a debatable matter.

       The offering of freshly ground pepper as your food arrives in restaurants is ridiculous. Any good chef should have put the appropriate amount of salt and pepper in. Adding extra pepper before even trying food is ridiculous, and insulting to said chef.

       It should be illegal to make software that was previously a one-time purchase into a subscription. Imagine you bought a sofa and then 3 years later the shop told you they were going to start charging you £10 a month or else they'll take your sofa, that you already paid for, away

       Fusilli is the best pasta as it's easy to eat and the sauce can get caught up in the spirals. By far and away the worst pasta - for both ease of eating and collecting sauce - is spaghetti.

       Stop posting pictures of your kids online. Just stop. Not for edutech, not for fun, and certainly not on *any* social media. It's really bad parenting. Data is never safe online and your kids aren't old enough to make informed consent for you to use their images.

       It really grinds my beans that nobody goes deaf from firing guns in films and TV shows without ear defenders. Gunfire is loud enough to permanently damage hearing, yet people are shown as blithely unloading right next to someone's head without effect.

       Filling pints up to the brim is one of the dumbest traditions/standards we all just accept. Beer is wasted through spillage, wet hands, wet tables, and lots of mopping up for bar staff. A slightly bigger glass is a solution a smart species would choose.

       Journalists love to say local elections should be about 'local' issues like the bins & potholes. Global issues are local issues. Look at companies who own the properties in your area, or push out the local businesses, or pollute your air & water. See their dirty global crimes.
