Computers were not something that you bought or created, but something you grew. From the outside they looked like the laptops and desktops we all have today, but the inside was mechanically organic. The traces of the PCB twisted and bent overtime to where they needed to be, Cables grew from both ends of a circut and met in the middle, The CPU socket would change shape depending on how much power it would need in the future. As I looked inside I could see what looked like a network card growing, the PCB morphing and bending to accomodate the new expansion.And then i saw a women cut a portion of her computer out and hand it to her kid. She proceded to lay this PCB in an empty case and give it silicon&copper to grow. It was like computers were sourdough starter, a living organic thing that was often passed down from generation to generation.Maybe I have been playing too much corru.observer in the past few days, but It was such a weirdly beautiful dream.

Day 7 and final day for #DecemberAdventure The past 2 days have been hectic, my VPS received: "unplanned-planned maintenance by a third party" (nicest way to say someone from my past SSHed into my server and deleted the bootloader and some files for my VPS), but everything has been 100% restored and were back! ( including a full private key rotation )Back to the brighter side: I started working on a Celeste(Pico-8) Demake for UXN, Writing a nice feeling character controller for a platformer is so much harder then I remembered it being. I just hope I don't loss motivation like the rest of my projects in a ~week

When i started writing #uxn I always thought only having 4 colours was going to be a serious limitation, but with a careful colour palette and some creativity I have always been just fine with only 4 colours.Here is the celeste spritesheet in uxn form ^__^ (There is no easy way to extract assets from a Pico-8 game so I had to redraw them all)

You're telling me Firefox had the ability to render the DOM in 3D and they removed the feature???Its is useless and I adore it <3If anybody wants to see their website in 3D, Ill send you a screenshot ^__^(Screenshot's Below taken on Firefox 46 in a VM)

As winter is finally coming to a close, I have enough natural sunlight to comfortably read printed documents while I program instead of a second screen!!!Maybe I should make a binder of a bunch of Manpages/documentation printouts

Why did nobody tell me about how great FASM was?A smol, self-hosted, very nicely documented x86/x64 assembler that is almost an 8th of the size of NASM, this is just perfect!It feel so stupid for avoiding it for years because it had slightly different syntax then nasm :moomin_sad:
