       @gamingonlinux sure LLMs can write code, but it's not better than the source used and the issue is that nowadays there is already a lot of code that has been generated by even older versions of LLMs, which will affect newer LLMs.Sure I do see use of the LLMs like for figuring out the variables needed to use with a function, give some idea how to do somethings so you don't have to spend a half day to figure it out from some LLM generated source...But let it really code, nah... we really need to get a working AI first before that will be innovative and able to think of consequences of the codeand sure the issue with license too, the code the LLM has been trained with will have a large range of different licenses, the code it borrows may have a lot different license than what the program you write has, and if there is some closed source included then wow...

       @gamingonlinux it's the cost that worries me nowadays, I remember I got quite a nice computer for ~1000 Euro back in 2008, nowadays what can you get for ~1400 Euro, a low end graphics card and a motherboard...

       @gamingonlinux then no new computer for the next 5 years, I hope the CPU will advance while there ain't any ram for end users... maybe we will see chipsets that supports old memory, rather DDR4 with a new CPU than no ram at all...

       @gamingonlinux wish you could just reflash a mouse with an alternative firmware, had been nice to not need a shitty OS to modify key bindings on the mouse (no use system keybinding would affect the keyboard too)...

       @gamingonlinux better to stay with older gen hardware, so that those who are rich enough to migrate to new hardware then will sell their DDR4 memory... sure expensive but less costly that get brand new DDR5 memory.

       @gamingonlinux I think if it's native then more work would be put into make things working, at least that is my believe as the company is promising it's customers that the product will work as they are selling it...
