       @ariadne content creators are demotivated because of the poor discoverability between all of the AI slop.Same goes for advertisers which causes content creators that are "only in it for the money" to also be demotivated.Then there are the "hey I can do anything with AI bros" that are just all talk but no bark and don't actually create anything of value.Same on other platforms.But hey at least Tom Scott is back.

       @ariadne Well these tools condition you into trusting them as they kinda "just work". However they're also still unreliable in nature.Like the last "rm -rf"-ing I encountered was hidden in a unit test the slop machine wrote. The task was to basically clean up /tmp in a safe way and "don't delete anything else".So what did the slopmachine do to ensure that in the unit test? Well it tried to delete /home. And the code failed the check...

       @ariadne But then you run into confirmation-fatigue and end up with the human just blindly hitting "confirm" as most of the time it is just doing its thing. That's exactly what I meant with "causes you to let your guards down".

       @ariadne If you are there you should definitely go up there. Why would you choose to skip out on that experience?I wouldn't necessarily travel there just to go up there, but if I'm in the area anyway it for sure would be one of the things I'd check out...

       @ariadne Well the goal is for the models to become better at social engineering. Why else would you add social media posts to the training set?(Edit: Esp. why would you add something like Twitch Chat, and people doing live streams to the training set? Ok, that's kinda a red flag even amongst the red flags of crypto-bro bs.Anything else you could at least have cashed out at payday or converted into one of the hand full of "too big to fail" ones like Bitcoin, Monero, or Ethereum...Edit: Also were they aiming for people to confuse this "Kadena" with "cardano" or something?
