       @itsfoss Liquid Glass for Everyone!!! How about a few non-Ai "features"? Like working on that buried bookmark manager? Sure would be nice to develop that into an online research tool. Zotero style? Maybe some RSS and Podcast notifications when you land on a site containing them? How about cleaning up the settings & preferences?

       @itsfoss And ONLYOFFICE project has been forked, so now there is an alternate open source version. I think its called Euro-Office (?). Supported by a whole fleet of European open source companies, including NextCloud. It will be interesting to see how that project develops.

       @libreoffice Whether it's LibreOffice, Collabora, Euro-Office, or ONLYOFFICE, ODF should be the primary document focus and goal. I hope over time, each project will consider compatibility with MS formats to be a bridge to ODF, and not a crutch with MS.#ODF #OpenSource #LibreOffice #Collabora #EuroOffice #OnlyOffice

       @libreoffice Also, while I'm on the topic, I would really love to see LibreOffice and Collabora unite behind one project that supports ODF, and not compete with each other. There is too much synergy of vision and goals between these two projects. Unite, modernize the code base, and use Collabora's awesome web interfaces. #OpenSource #LibreOffice #Collabora

       @itsfoss I really like how Bazzite (both GNOME and KDE versions) implement Bazaar.  In my opinion it's a great experience. Responsive, fast installs, and they just work as intended. Probably best suited for people who just want their apps to get stuff done.

       @hn100 One problem is that business efficiency is always defined by how many people are not required. Not by the results of good management and sustainability. We will "invest" in equipment, but investing in people is considered waste. We view people like we did the redwoods, a resource of intelligence to exploit until we use it up, then move on. Corporations can never replace a community. There is none. Just extraction.

       @libreoffice Completely agree, and I will always recommend ODF for saving office documents.  I use it for all my own documents.If we want to own our own ideas, data, and standards, then we have to reprogram our thinking that compatibility with MS is more important.Redefine the narrative. Build on ODF as OUR standard.  And let MS catch up with us. I feel better now. :-)#OpenSource #OpenStandards #ODF #OpenDocumentFoundation #DigitalSovereignty
