       @technomancy I had FreeBSD on an old one for years and it worked well until the fan died. Now I have it on a Dell I picked up for $30, and it works mostly well but I’m not sure about suspend/resume (it seems to work well when I’m sitting here, but some weird things have happened while it’s been in my bag, but also the power button is in a stupid place).

       Y'know how we all hate it when a restaurant's only web presence is a Facebook or Instagram page? Like, yeah, setting up a web site isn't *trivial*, but it's also not that hard, and if you're doing something public facing, you should really put in the effort, right?This post is about software projects who's only web presence is a github README.md.

       Sometimes people just come across wrong on mailing lists. Whether it’s context loss or a lack of social cues, not *everyone* who reads as a belligerent asshole online is, in fact, a belligerent asshole.And then again…

       @Rairii @csilverman I have definitely put both — and ± in comments. Nice and easy on Plan 9. :-) But then, I occasionally forget other environments can’t handle things like naming the alpha channel α, for example. 🤣
