       @azonenberg A pub is more of a social space that serves drink- traditionally a neighbourhood place with regulars. A bar is a place to meet for a drink. And tavern largely just an old name for pub.A bar is less likely to do proper food. And pubs vary. But then some restaurants market themselves as "...... and bar". Their hope being to attract some casual drinkers not just diners.The UK never used to do much in the way of pub food. Now we even have Michelin Star pubs e.g. The Hand and Flowers 3*
