Looking for ai free photo references for art is just extremely depressing.It takes so much work and energy to make sure a photo is real, not ai. And while it's worth it to do so (fuck generative ai and anyone who uses it) it feels like such a waste of my time which could be spent doing other things. The mental load sucks, and my spoons are limited. That I have to spend them avoiding the fascist hallucination machine that is destroying the planet when I want to be making art sucks ass.

Tomorrow is super busy with a secret thing for a few hours in the morning and then meeting a local artist for coffee in the afternoon.He's looking for a freelance assistant over the summer and asked if I'd be interested. We're getting coffee to hash out the details.Super excited for both things, but not at the likelihood that I'll be driving home during rush hours.At least I have a comfy car and a good audiobook!

Looking for audiobook recs as I think I might finally become one of those ppl who listens to them whilst crafting (in part due to the new setup of my sewing room, anyways...)* no smut* no rape/sexual assault* romance only as a side/sub plot, not the primary plotThese days I'm big into sci fi and mysteries. Bagels are made, hubby has already consumed one hehe.The french onion sourdough needs longer to rise. My kitchen gets quite cold at night, and having all the "fillin's" means the dough is a lot heavier too.One day I will own a proofing box for bread. I'd probably have one now if I had a place to store it. But my rule is if I don't have a good spot to put something away I am not allowed to get it!#Baking #Food

Today was... A Fucking Day.Out the door at 9am. Forgot my BP meds like a genius.Waited around like an hour and a half for kiddo to talk to potential roommates (they were talking, I misunderstood the timeline, thought it'd be a 30 min, see the room - sign the papers dealio)Then to Costco for lunch, shopping and a good ol dose of overstim.Came home instead of running the next errand because I'm a dummy and 33C means get the raw fish home ASAP.(but wait, there's more)

Dexter, who has not been left fully on his own in quite some time, had a full panic attack it seems. Food and water bowl everywhere, stuff torn and tossed all over the room, and he chewed through the ethernet cables.Oh and he pooped on the floor. (so grateful for hardwood)So, cleaned that all up. Then went BACK out because we had to pick up kiddo from getting their uni ID. Then to Best Buy for two new ethernet cables. Then the library.THEN HOME.

You best believe after spending $$$ at Costco we ordered sushi for dinner.Cuz yeah we did.BUT we reset the router while we were running the new cables and that did seem to fix the problems I was having with Steam (shoulda done it last night - I did *think* of it but I was worried about fucking over the other two ppl and getting them stuck in the Steam outage).So now I'm full of sashimi, and I'm gonna spend the next few hours rescuing the ocean before reading a library book.#food

I had the sad realization yesterday that one of my new watercolour sketchbooks is not pure cotton... there's some cellulose or something in it. And now I'm so sad :(Very torn on if I suck it up and keep using it or just set it aside. Leaning towards set aside/donating because although it's from an amazing brand and is good quality I hate cellulose paper and art is one of my happy places.#MastoArt

Further research suggests it might be cotton but a lower grade?Idk... paint just floats around on the page instead of sinking in. And the pages have this like, slippery waxy feel that is so different from the ones that I am used to.

@hollie I've got one of those crows too! It sits on the fence or telephone pole and makes "ahem" noises til I go out with peanuts.Then it calls the murder. I think it's a smol family that lives around here, last year there were two babies. And it's so fun watching the dynamics of who is allowed first choice of peanuts.

Having a trilingual kid is fun... ask them what date a meeting they have is, get an answer in not-English.Thankfully it was french which I sorta understand, lol
