@SecurityWriter I was accused of plagiarism and told that over 40% of my PhD. thesis was plagiarised from other sources. I was called to a disciplinary hearing and pointed out that I was the author of the papers and the book chapter that I had supposedly plagiarised, I had consented to me using my work, and provided appropriate attribution on the front of the thesis. Nobody actually thought to look at the name of the author I'd supposedly plagiarised.

@0xabad1dea I had a work colleague who was Dutch, and when he was really tired he'd switch back to speaking Dutch without thinking. I can just about understand enough Dutch to follow someone speaking it, but I can't speak it myself, so I'd answer him back in English when that happened. This was fine until my other monolingual colleague thought he was having a stroke because half of the conversation sounded like word salad to him.
