       Yeah I had a fifteen-year long cat allergy that was erased in about 30 seconds’ worth of NLP - and that held strong for about seven years after which it began to reemerge. I think there’s a bit more going on than that allergies are “all in the head” - but rather, that these various systems actually interface and engage with each other clear down to the epigenetic level.

       Hump is, in one real sense, generally correct about the relative merit of going balls-deep into topics such as these: a little knowledge is a dangerous thing after all.    But what I was referring to specifically is NLP = NeuroLinguistic Programming — which I tend to regard as a Psionic discipline, but that would likely raise many objections from the general direction of the establishment. It’s usually lumped in with hypnosis, with which it has some overlap.

       I poasted the quintessential non-medical example I’ve experienced with NLP (before knowing what it was) with the Maid Marian: the Vixen example from Disney’s Robin Hood. What’s significant is that it’s an example of clearly remembering where I first learned a word, and observed its semantic web expand over time in a way subversive to my initial expectations. It also later became a pop-cultural touchstone as to where furries may have come from - though it didn’t have that effect on me personally, the process I observed yields some insight into that, methinks.

       What I really enjoy seeing is old video footage of functional White societies, where even adults are clearly routinely and actively interacting with one another. Looks exhausting by my current metrics, but I’m fairly certain it was all basically different and meaningful back then
