       @davidrevoy I want to reframe this in a way that may help with making the decision. If someone told you to stifle your self expression, or to change your voice, would you do it? Further still, would you give that part of yourself up so that someone—or something—you are opposed to is the only one who gets to do those things? I am by no means popular, but I am a creative. Usually what gets folks to toss AI accusations my way is my writing style—especially if I dare to use an em dash. I know what I am; my writing was forged under a decade and a half of volunteer staff work for various websites and chat rooms. My prose became very formal, concise, and tactful over time. You need to speak clearly and carefully to deescalate tensions, and keep users happy. My lived experience is in my voice, as it surely is in yours. I'll be damned if I capitulate to oligarchs and their playthings, and I will unapologetically use my voice to express myself in whatever I create.Despite everything, keep being you.
