       I’m gonna build a clock that only keeps time if you have it at a constant 2g, and  don’t even think about cheating with a centrifuge as it’ll detect coriolis and disable itself

       @nadia idk about pc fans, but a massive inline duct fan on 10% power is working really well for me (silent besides airflow, at least until I accidentally unplug the controller and it defaults to jet engine mode)

       the practical sfx company I consult for occasionally had their EE / software person* quit without warning and asked me to debug some device firmware on short notice - they said they’d send over the code, and then posted the entire computer by same-day courier?? *who was also their sysadmin.. (this was a while back, I still have it..)

       @mntmn I went through a period of ~5 years where it felt like my memory was severely degrading, mostly failing to remember words / names regularly, and was freaking out about it - and then I quit my shitty stressful job to do freelance work at my own pace, and it turns out I’m fine 🤦‍♀️(not to suggest that the cause is the same, just empathising)
