       last boost: some of us have been beating this drum for a -long- time. I can remember in the 90s being the outlier in my friend group of highly educated (mostly white) and very liberal women grad school students. They laughed and said I was paranoid and told me, that no,  the press leaned liberal. So here's a chart I put together a couple of years ago

       imo: many folks born into socially privileged groups who also really value education are *sometimes* ( please note the qualifier here) among the most dupable about *certain things* (another qualifier)  because they so fervently believe in the idea of free communication, and the idea of "knowledge is power" while forgetting the just as important: "garbage in garbage out" corollaryunfortunately as humans, it appears it IS easy to believe in untested assumptions that happen to benefit you.
