       @mntmnFor me and people I've tried to mentor, most of the pain for low end micros has been the endless sea of incompatible HALs and errata.This could be be addressed in the general case with a fpga gateware providing a meddler-in-the-middle attack on a mcu psram bus so that developers can shoehorn arbitrary (open and standardised) memory-mapped peripherals into the address space of fast (still low end) CPUs.That would immediately give you the Tiliqua pixel shader, audio processor, and hdmi drivers on most mid range microcontrollers.I'm looking forward to the Glasgow revD because its psram applet already provides half of that gateware.
