I'm not sure what qualifies as a derivative work: Sherbet, IMO, stands on 
its own; the references to the GUE universe are clear for those who 
know.

The place where I used a memory of Zork is to identify the location of 
the chimney (no, that's not a spoiler).  And this may be hinted at 
reasonably.

Is a derivative a work that makes references?  Builds on?  Is entirely 
cryptic unless you've played its ancestor?  Does the lean, hungry 
adventurer in ?Enchanter make it a derivative?
