Okay, this is getting stranger and stranger.

I took the copy of tads2exe.zip and zebulon2.zip to a friend's computer
and tried to play the game there. I worked perfectly. This is all gettting
extremely frustrating. Is there some other requirement that I need?

And BTW, typing
 tc trivial(.t) 
did nothing. No new files were created, no error messages produced, no
response except giving me back my prompt.
