Yeah, I remember my whole family being a bit choked up about that one.
BTW, Planetfall was the first Infocom game I played and just about the
first game we *had* for our Apple II. I remember very clearly sitting
in Pizza Hut a couple of weeks after we had gotten the Apple II. Mom
had gotten a computer magazine, and we were eager to pick up some software
to try on our brand-spankin' new machine. So we flipped to the Games
section and read a review for Planetfall. It sounded interesting, so
we ordered it.

Oh! It was agony waiting those weeks for delivery (remember, this was
still in the age of "wait 4 to 6 weeks"). We tore it open when it
arrived, spraying Styrofoam peanuts everywhere. It was a *great*
game for us to play as a family, since we could all sit around and
make suggestions and come up with ideas.

Sigh. Those were the days.

I'm glad to see that so many people on this group appreciate Trinity
and AMFV. I liked both of them, but amusingly enough, I didn't like
them as much when I was actually playing them. I think I've grown a
bit since then and would enjoy them much more now. Now if only I
could convert them to Mac format... (There's still no Apple II .z5
extractor, is there?)
