I actually figured that part out. (I disagree with you; both the spell
and the location made sense. However, I had tried it earlier, with no
result. What needs justification is that you have to do it *carrying
all four rods.* The only reason I tried it again was that I wasn't
absolutely sure I had done it earlier.)

(SPOILERS again)

So I get to the house. But I can't find anything to do there. There's
a coffee machine, a can of coffee, and a set of curtains to hide in.
The only thing I can do is get sent back.
