I strongly recommend not trying to finish this game unless you are a fan
of Douglas Adams'.  Even being very familiar with the books and the
radio-
show, the game was nearly impossible to complete.

I was really really annoyed by the dog!

That having been said, in order to keep the demolition of your house
from 
killing you, you will have to keep it from being demolished.  Take a
clue
from activists; what would an environmentalist do faced with the
destruction
of er favorite forests and being confronted by a huge bulldozer?
