To Judson Cohan, Geoff, Ian and Carl Muckenhoupt and anyone else who
might respond afterward; thanks for all the information. I am delighted
to be able to play what was my very first computer game. There's never
anything quite so passionate as one's first true love! :)

I did have some problems getting ftp.gmd.de to recognize me. At work I
am connected to our server via ethernet cables, and try as I might the
ftp site refused to recognize me. However, when I dialed up our server
from my home computer, I had no problem getting what I needed.

Those more learned than I am with networks may see something in the
above description to account for my experience. I have to revert to
superstition and resign myself to the fact that some computer god was
demonstrating to me that it is not proper to play while at work! :)
