I believe that the windowed interface was added following the re-issue by
Virgin (in the manner of Wonderland).  The original Rainbird issue was very
'Infocom' down to the trinkets in the packaging (and the foggy EGA
graphics).  One additional command was (something like) PRONOUN - it gave a
list of what the current values of IT, HE, SHE, THEY etc. were - handy.

Funny 'nuff I've still got the Rainbird originals of Fish!, Jinxter, Guild
of Thieves and Virgin's Wonderland.  I'd happily do a swap for a copy of
LTOI vol I (I've got vol II).
