Well, heck, if that's all you want, Windows users could just write some
Javascript code to automatically copy anything typed into the game window
(presumably WinFrotz or WinTads, of course) into MS-Word to the clipboard,
run the spelling and grammar checker, automatically accept any changes, and
copy it back.

Shouldn't be more than a few lines of code, and the results will
be...immediately apparent, let's just say...

I do actually kind of like the "try all combinations of letters" idea,
though.  Interestingly, this might have some application, though a silly
one:  for rooms in which only a few actions are allowable, this could turn
that section of the game to a simple menu, thereby totally avoiding "guess
the verb" and even "what the hell is the puzzle supposed to be" puzzles...
