You are a sick, sick person. :)

It would mostly work. The failures would range from slightly irritating to
disastrous (as when a big timed event accidentally got displayed one move
early (in the inventory window), ruining the author's timing.)

Actually, I can think of one place in Sorcerer where this feature would
make the interpreter shut itself down. Oops.

Would work less often, since I, at least, use "You can't go that way" as
little as possible.
