  You may not be the only one though.

  You don't need to use 'C'!! Youdon't have to write your own sentence
parser, etc. Its already been done for you several times over. There are 2
main programs for writing IF. Inform creates zcode files identical to the
zcode used by Infocom. TADS produces a machine independant .gam file that
can be played on many platoforms.

  ftp over to ftp.gmd.de and look in the if-archive directories. There are
tons of files with info and examples there.
