README FILE FOR "the virtual human"

THANK YOU for downloading "the virtual human."
Is this program even a game? Some have said not.
You may enjoy or understand the program better if
you watch Jorgen Leth's "The Perfect Human" before
playing. You have been warned.

A few rules for playing "the virtual human":

1) "the virtual human" does not use traditional ADRIFT
commands and controls. Using them will provide the
user with rather silly-looking results-- not that
there's anything wrong with a silly answer. However,
you may try answering the prompts appropriately.

2) Please refrain from using pronouns (he, she, his, her)
in your responses, as the author could not think of
a suitably flexible response to replace these with in
   the appropriate ALR file.

3) Please use an ampersand in your response to indicate
items conjoined with the conjunction "and." For
example, typing "black & white" for the first prompt
will produce a room that is black & white-coloured.

Separate commands with "and" or a comma in order to represent
input as successive commands. For example, typing "black
and white" or "black, white" for the first prompt will
produce a room that is black-coloured and feels white.

I am particularly interested in hearing of any pre-programmed
responses (such as ADRIFT's traditional response of "Take
what?" when using "get") that have not been eliminated through
the program's ALR. If you find any such responses, please let
me know.

Please feel free to send me any feedback or criticism through
ADRIFT forums or by e-mail to bowsmand@msu.edu
