I want to put the word "Walkthrough" in quotes because there is no real way to get stuck in the game. If you think you're stuck, find a link to click on the page. Also be sure to search the page itself as some links might be within a paragraph. If there is no way forward, there will always be a way to go back to the "portal" page (i.e., Mortificatio).\
\
Conceptually, the goal is to move the story forward by acquiring substances (usually minerals or elements) at one stage of the story, and then using them to unlock other parts of the story. There are multiple paths to move the story forward.\
\
The "endgame" of the story appears once four questions have been answered, one at each of the following stages: Calcinatio, Coagulatio, Separatio, Conjunctio. These four questions can be encountered in any order.\

A NOTE ON SAVING\

The best way to save your progress, should you have to leave the game and come back to it, is to copy and paste the URL. Doing a "Save As" on a page within the game--even the start page--will only subsequently load that particular page when you double-click it later on. \
\
And yeah, the URLs can get kind of long.\
