Baby killers collude with politician to put prolife hero David Daleiden behind bars for decades

If David Daleiden is found guilty of the 15 false felony charges against him, he could be put behind bars for decades in San Quentin Penitentiary. He could spend 23 hours a day in a 5-foot by 11-foot cell with a bed, a sink, a toilet, and cockroaches.

The only thing that can prevent that monstrous injustice is the strongest possible legal defense.

Let me brief ly introduce myself to you. I’m attorney Tom Brejcha, the founder and president of the Chicago-based Thomas More Society. For over 20 years my organization has defended the defenders of innocent babies.

As you may recall, the Thomas More Society successfully defended the legendary Joe Scheidler, the father of pro-life activism, when the abortion industry filed a nasty, unjust lawsuit against him. Joe won a unanimous victory in the U.S. Supreme Court. That’s why David Daleiden asked my organization to defend him.

Never before have I seen a pro-life activist in so much trouble. Incredible as it sounds, David faces 15 false felony charges in California plus two racketeering lawsuits in federal court plus other litigation in Washington state.

David obtained video evidence during his 30-month undercover investigation that the abortionists committed these acts that violate federal law: (1) they trafficked in aborted babies’ body parts for profit, (2) they altered abortion procedures for the purpose of getting better fetal specimens for sale, and (3) they committed partial-birth abortions.

In other words, the abortionists shouldbeontrial,notDavid.Theyknow they’re in trouble, and they believe their best defense is a strong offense.

That’s why they’re using the "trial by avalanche" strategy to crush and bury David. Who can afford to defend himself against 15 false criminal charges plus two gigantic racketeering lawsuits? Only a multi-millionaire. But David is just an average person.

The abortionists want to bury David with litigation, crush him with exorbitant lawsuit judgments and fines, and put him behind bars in San Quentin. If that happens, David and his work will be unjustly discredited, and the abortionists may even get away with their crimes against federal law. That’s why the abortionists and their pals in public office are pushing so hard to nail David!

Because of space limitations, I can’t describe all of the complex legal issues here. But let me briefly explain in layman’s language why the 15 felony charges are as phony as a $3 bill.

You see, the California Attorney General applauds undercover journalists that expose such things as cruelty to animals or dishonest car repair shops. Undercover journalists in those cases aren’t charged with a felony for violating California’s eavesdropping law, which requires that both parties consent to recording a confidential conversation. Indeed, no criminal would ever consent to being recorded!

Attorney General Becerra is persecuting David for one reason only: because David’svideosexposedillegalactsofabortionists— the people Becerra admires.

What’s more, the conversations David recorded weren’t confidential. The conversations took place in restaurants and exhibit halls where busboys, waitresses, and other hotel employees could easily overhear what was being recorded. The 15 felony charges are unjust. They don’t hold water.

The federal racketeering lawsuits against David are also meritless. But the dangerous and complex civil lawsuits and criminal charges could ruin his life. It bears repeating that David needs the strongest possible defense in all of the cases against him! Otherwise he’ll be buried in the avalanche of litigation.

This is an unprecedented legal emergency and personal crisis for David, an innocent man who is by far the abortionists’ strongest foe.

Without mercy, the attack-dog lawyers are nipping at David’s heels and harassing him with abusive, frivolous litigation. They’ve already gotten a gag-order against him, which prevents him from releasing any more videos. They hope he’ll knuckle under and settle.

He’ll never settle. He’ll never compromise. Nor will I. The only thing that can stop me is shortness of funds. As long as I have breath in me, I’ll go to the wall to defend David.

It bears repeating that David hired me because I successfully defended America’s No. 1 pro-life activist Joe Scheidler in a similar federal racketeering lawsuit, which we won by a unanimous vote of the U.S. Supreme Court. He has confidence that the Thomas More Society will successfully defend him. That’s why we depend on friends like you to support his legal defense.

I’m not asking for myself. I’m asking for David, who needs a strong legal defense, and for the babies David will save by putting the abortionists out of business. If, God forbid, David loses, babies will die. It’s that simple.
