ByChartres Pilgrimage 2014 the grace of God, The Remnant Tours will organize the U. S.

chapter of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Notre-Dame de Chretiente’s Pentecost Pilgrimage from Paris to Chartres, France for the 23rd consecutive time. The dates of the 3-day, 70-mile walk from Paris to Chartres are June 7 thru June 9, 2014. However, The Remnant will again be hosting a separate pilgrimage around the event, beginning on June 4 and returning to the States on June 16.

We will visit the South of France, with special emphasis on a pilgrimage to Lourdes. Final arrangements have not yet been made but, with Lourdes as the center piece, we hope to visit La Rochelle, Toulouse and Pau.

The reason for our visit to Lourdes should be obvious. It is one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in the world, after the Holy Land and the Eternal City. It is also one of the most beautiful Marian shrines on the face of the earth, nestled high in the Pyrenees Mountains. We will visit the home of St. Bernadette, of course, bathe in the miraculous waters, and offer the Traditional Latin Mass in the basilica every day.

Toulouse holds great significance for Catholics, as well, as it is the final resting place of St. Thomas Aquinas.
