Patrick Napier was descended from the Napiers of Kilmahew and NOT the Napiers of Merchiston. Robert Napier NEVER had a son called Patrick. I would suggest that you look at the Kilmahew Napiers Page of the Clan Napier Website which you can reach Signed, sealed and published in the presence of us,

Vava died very suddenly last year, so I am not sure if there are still copies available. Contact the Secretary of the Clan Napier in Georgie Cogbill

Kentucky on 14 September 1833. Edward and Rachel had trhee sons and two daughter. I have two sources of information about the children, one is Vava Knepp’s book and the other is a Napier database compiled by an American “cousin”.

Children of Richard Perrin and Katherine Banks Royal are:

According to Vava’s book, the daughters were called Sarah (c.1798-c.1882) and Rachel (1813 - ?) who married a Fielding i.

Seale Jr.

The other source says that Edward “Edmund” and Rachel had two daughters called Sarah (b. 1798) and Joicy (b. 1800). As Mary Perrin (b. 1670, d. Aft. 03 Apr 1718)

you can see, there is obviously some confusion about Rachel, the daughter.

The earliest Rachel Napier that I can find in the database is a Rachel Napier., born 1813, the daughter of James “Kentucky” Napier Mary Perrin (daughter of and ) was born 1670 in Henrico Co. VA, and died Aft. 03 Apr 1718 in New Kent, Henrico Co. VA. She (1796-1861) and Elizabeth Howard
