In the name of God Amen this 16th day of March AD 1694/5, I Richard Perin of Henrico County, Planter, being sick in body but in perfect sense and memory, thank be to God for it. Doe make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following first and principally, I resign my soul in to the hand of God who gave it to me. And for my body i commend it to the Earth to be buried in the Christian manner.Nothing doubting that at the resurrection I shall receive the same by the almighty power of God. And with touching each worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me with in this life. I give and bequeath the same as followeth,
First I give and bequeath my land where I now live, commonly known as World’s End, and by estimation four hundred acres, being two hundred acres breadth on ye river and soe running into the woods until it makes up the quantify of 400 acres, be the same more or less to my deare and loving wife, Katherine Perrin During her natural life. And after her decrease, I give the same land and houses and c to my loveing daughter Sarah Perrin to the heirs of her body, lawfully begotten. And if it should please the Lord to take the sd Sarah Perrin out of this world without her having a child or children, I give and bequeath the same to my loving daughter Mary Napier, and after her decrease, I give and bequeath it to her eldest son and his heirs. In default of a son to her eldest daughter and her heirs. But if it should please God that the child that my wife now goeth with be a boy, then I give and bequeath all of the four hundred acres, houses, land and c to him and his heirs forever.
I give and bequeath to my loving wife Katherine Perrin my Negro man called Jack.
I give and bequeath to my Grandson William Farrar two silver spoons and one silver dram cup.
I give and bequeath to my Grandson Farrar not yet baptized two silver spoons.
I give and bequeath to my Grandson Bouth Napier, one feather bed and bolster, one pair of curtains and vallens, one rug, one pair of blankets and two silver spoons.
