Squire married an Indian by whom he had 2 known daughters Polly and Mary Boone. In 1775 Squire was hired by
Thomas
Judge Henderson to blaze the trail to Fort Boonesborough, KY.
He became a Baptist preacher and performed the first marriage ceremony in Boonesborough when he married
(Impossible…unless “Ole” had John C. when he was 14)
Samuel Henderson and Betsey Calloway Aug. 7, 1776. Squire was killed by the Indians in Bourbon Co., KY on Boones
(Birth 28 Nov 1725 in
Creek and is buried there.
