University academics explore how AI is transforming broadcast, print and social media – and its role in spreading - and fighting - disinformation.

With a record number of people participating in democratic elections in 2024, our conversation will take a global perspective, examining how AI is influencing elections worldwide.

Presented in partnership with ESRC Festival of Social Sciences, running 19 October – 09 November 2024.

This event is presented as part of AI Futures at The Exchange. Running February to November 2024, the programme explores the brave new world of artificial intelligence through the lens of University of Birmingham research.
