Morning Open Thread 10/9/26 [1] ['Greg Dworkin', 'Chloris Creator', 'Belinda Ridgewood', 'Mark Sumner'] Date: 2026-10-09 officebss/Shutterstock Morning Y’all. Looks like we finally got a named hurricane to deal with this year after all. From what I know about where most of you “regulars” here at the MOT reside, it seems that most of y’all will not be impacted on a primary level by Hurricane Isaias. How the heck do you pronounce Isaias anyhow? Apparently, it’s the Spanish/Portuguese version of Isaiah. Anyhoo, I consulted/genuflected to/bowed-down-to/ The Great God Google and was rewarded with these scraps of information: (Praise be his name…) The Great God Google I think I’ll just go with “Hurricane Issy”… So…I have three (3) points of concern here. Two (2) of my sons live in Gulfport, MS. Hurricane Issy adds another level of uncertainty to the Bama/Georgia football game. I forgot #3… What are Y’all up to this fine Friday Morning? Here’s the latest track forecast.
